Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turned this indoor cat on to the outdoors! Let's just say I'm not an outdoorsy person. But I was invited on a long hike with VERY outdoorsy pals who all happen to own - and love - their own LifeStraws, so I got one for myself too. I watched them drink from a stream that I was initially not thrilled about but they assured me they've used these LifeStraws many times over the past couple years with only great results. So I followed suit, and used the product to drink with the comfort of knowing this is a trusted product. I was shocked to find the water tasted great and clean - and very normal! Happy to have a product that has helped me be more comfortable in the wilderness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply Amazing I have owned a previous lifestraw for my hurricane preparedness kit for a few years. It is really an amazing product. It affords the user to consume water safely from virtually any water source. This new product gives the user much more flexibility in usage as you can now have clean drinking water with you on the go no matter the situation. The compact structure of this product makes it ideal for any backpacker/camper/hiker. You cannot underestimate the value of such a product in emergency situations either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product, Excellent H2O! This product is great. Before buying this product I had to carry a few water bottles at a time when hiking or camping, and water can be heavy. I'd much rather carry a small amount and have this with me wherever I go. It saves so much space and weight on my hikes. The water isn't nasty after it is filtered, it is very fresh and tastes about the same as bottled water. I would definitely grab one of these if you plan to hike even a few times a year, or go camping. It's saved me so much hassles on the few trips I've used it on already.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great portable bottle I take water everywhere I go, including several hikes we do weekly, and was excited to try this bottle. I liked the fact that it stored easily being collapsible. So you can fill it up, drink what you need and then store it in your backpack or purse. The flow of the water through the straw was slower then I expected but worked fine for what I need. I’ll order a couple more to have for the family for when we travel so we can have water filtered for whatever country we are in. Also I’ll store a few in our earthquack kit to be prepared

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life saver when water is not readily available. I must admit I was skeptical of the results I would get from this product. When I received I immediately put the filter into some filthy dish water that had been soaking all afternoon. I only took a tiny drink and was ready to spit it out. The water tasted just as good as the bottle of water I had drank just a couple of hours ago! This will remain in my car in case of emergency. I plan to buy two more to keep at home for emergencies as well. I received this as a free sample as a promise to write a honest review.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Unique design I will say the Lifestraw was unlike anything I’ve ever used. I took it on a hike with me using just tap water and the water did somewhat better. I found it was awkward to hold while hiking and even more awkward to wash. I totally see the benefits of the Lifestraw if you camped a lot and I do plan on taking it with me in future camping trips. Not really a product I will benefit a lot from having but unique to say the least.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Useful I received my lifestraw water bottle about a week ago. The concept is dynamite and would be very useful for camping, hiking, or anything where you don’t always have access to clean water. Unfortunately, I haven’t been doing much camping or hiking lately and have been just using it as a normal water bottle. Reviewing the lifestraw as a normal water bottle I would say the bag is too small, the water flow isn’t strong enough, and when the bag is half empty it becomes harder to drink. This is why I gave it a 2 star rating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! This product is meant to filter your water when you do not have access to clean water and I have to say it is a great find! I like to go hiking and camping and we do not always have access to safe water for drinking. This product makes it easy to put our minds at rest while we are out and about in the deep forest. It is easy to use and after trying the water I was surprised that it taste so good as well!

With what bottles does the life straw work?

Asked by: Susan
LifeStraw Flex is compatible with regular plastic bottles (i.e. sodas, water, etc.). Simply screw the bottom screw-cap to the top of a plastic bottle.

Hello! My question is how much the filter removes chemical stuff, and metals in procent. Furthermore I would like to know how often you have to change the filter. Thanks.

Asked by: Elias
The LifeStraw Flex reduces both chemicals and heavy metals according to the following test results: + Reduces by more than 50% the chlorine presents in water (2mg/l) incordance with NSF/ANSI 42 protocol up to 100 liters + Reduces lead following the requirements at both pH 8.5 and 6.5 in accordance with NSF/ANSI 53 protocol for 200 liters We recommend to replace the filter every 100 liters (25 gallons).

Hello, replacing the filter after 100litres means to buy a new one or some replacing kit? Is there any difference between filtration process of LifeStraw flex and LifeStraw Go? Thanks!
