Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turned this indoor cat on to the outdoors! Let's just say I'm not an outdoorsy person. But I was invited on a long hike with VERY outdoorsy pals who all happen to own - and love - their own LifeStraws, so I got one for myself too. I watched them drink from a stream that I was initially not thrilled about but they assured me they've used these LifeStraws many times over the past couple years with only great results. So I followed suit, and used the product to drink with the comfort of knowing this is a trusted product. I was shocked to find the water tasted great and clean - and very normal! Happy to have a product that has helped me be more comfortable in the wilderness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life saver when water is not readily available. I must admit I was skeptical of the results I would get from this product. When I received I immediately put the filter into some filthy dish water that had been soaking all afternoon. I only took a tiny drink and was ready to spit it out. The water tasted just as good as the bottle of water I had drank just a couple of hours ago! This will remain in my car in case of emergency. I plan to buy two more to keep at home for emergencies as well. I received this as a free sample as a promise to write a honest review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Space saving, great for travel. I have used this water bottle for travel and it worked amazingly well. It takes up almost no room other than the volume of the water inside and weighs next to nothing so is a great option for having in your purse while sight seeing. Additionally, this water bottle does not leak at all! The only con I can think of is that drinking from the bottle takes a bit more skill than other water bottles but I got the hang of it pretty quickly with only a few dribbles (no big deal and was mostly user error). The filter is very easy to remove for times when you aren’t worried about water quality. The is product is great, highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product, Excellent H2O! This product is great. Before buying this product I had to carry a few water bottles at a time when hiking or camping, and water can be heavy. I'd much rather carry a small amount and have this with me wherever I go. It saves so much space and weight on my hikes. The water isn't nasty after it is filtered, it is very fresh and tastes about the same as bottled water. I would definitely grab one of these if you plan to hike even a few times a year, or go camping. It's saved me so much hassles on the few trips I've used it on already.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply Amazing I have owned a previous lifestraw for my hurricane preparedness kit for a few years. It is really an amazing product. It affords the user to consume water safely from virtually any water source. This new product gives the user much more flexibility in usage as you can now have clean drinking water with you on the go no matter the situation. The compact structure of this product makes it ideal for any backpacker/camper/hiker. You cannot underestimate the value of such a product in emergency situations either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! This product is meant to filter your water when you do not have access to clean water and I have to say it is a great find! I like to go hiking and camping and we do not always have access to safe water for drinking. This product makes it easy to put our minds at rest while we are out and about in the deep forest. It is easy to use and after trying the water I was surprised that it taste so good as well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great portable bottle I take water everywhere I go, including several hikes we do weekly, and was excited to try this bottle. I liked the fact that it stored easily being collapsible. So you can fill it up, drink what you need and then store it in your backpack or purse. The flow of the water through the straw was slower then I expected but worked fine for what I need. I’ll order a couple more to have for the family for when we travel so we can have water filtered for whatever country we are in. Also I’ll store a few in our earthquack kit to be prepared

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Convenient I’ve used this water bottle a couple times now and I have to say it’s so convenient! It’s collapsible so I usually leave it in my glovebox in case I forget a water bottle, and it saves me from using single use cups all the time! I also use it in bed because I know it won’t spill if I toss it to the side! Has never leaked and can without a little bit of pressure. I usually use it without the filter because it’s easier to tuck away and the filter is not usually needed. Happy I bought this, can’t wait to travel with it!

If the LifeStraw Flex filters become frozen in cold weather, is it still safe to use after it thaws out, or should the filters be replaced?

Hi there! If the filter becomes frozen, this compromises the membrane, and it should be replaced.
