Q&A
- is there a replacement filter for the lifestraw mission
- Hi, Thanks for reaching out. At this time, we do not currently have a replacement filter available for the LifeStraw Mission, and we do not have an estimated restock date to share. That said, the LifeStraw Family uses the same filter and can be used as an alternative with some adjustment to the setup. At the moment, the Family is also on sale for less than the cost of the Mission replacement filter. I’m sorry for the inconvenience, and I understand this may not be the ideal solution.
- What filter do I need for replacement on the Lifestraw family filter?
- Hello, Thank you for reaching out. The LifeStraw Family was originally designed as a long life product with a very high filtration capacity. Because of this, it was not designed with a standard replacement filter in the same way some of our other products are. The cost of the filter itself is very close to the cost of the full Family unit, which is why the recommended solution when the filter reaches the end of its life is to replace the entire unit. If you are looking for a replacement option, the LifeStraw Mission replacement filter can be adapted for use with the Family system. However, it connects differently and was not originally designed specifically for the Family unit, so some adjustment to the setup is required. For most customers, the simplest and most reliable option is to purchase a new LifeStraw Family unit when it is time to replace the filter. I hope this helps answer your question!
